About Mikey

On Memorial Day weekend 2006, we received the worst news of our lives. Our youngest son, Mikey, was diagnosed with A.L.L. Leukemia. We were immediately admitted to Ct Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) in Hartford where we met with pediatric Oncologist, Dr Eileen Gillan. Since then, CCMC has become a second home for us where Mikey has waged a battle against this disease. As we come to the end of Mikey's 3 year treatment plan we'd like to give back and help support the new CCMC Clinical Care Center. Join us for a fund raising golf tournament and "Coming off Chemo" celebration. For more information visit: www.caringbridge.org/visit/mikey or www.ccmckids.org.

The Clinical Care Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Connecticut Children's Medical Center

The devastating diagnosis of cancer is both unexpected and unwanted and can leave families overwhelmed as they seek the best care possible for their child.
The new Clinical Care Center will address the need for additional clinical space as Connecticut Children's continues to care for an ever increasing number of patients throughout our region.  In addition, it will improve the care experience for our children and families by providing private care spaces and consultation rooms large enough to accommodate families, along with areas for respite and play.  It will also enhance the future work of the Medical Center's  clinician/scientists and clinical trials team as they seek to cure and prevent childhood cancers through scientific discoveries.
Thank you for joining us in this exciting effort as together we help give our children the care they deserve
